At Stow, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We empower our users with full control over their personal data, including the ability to manage, retain, or delete their information.
User Data Control
• Account Deactivation and Data Deletion: Users can deactivate their accounts and request the deletion of their personal data at any time through the Control Panel settings available on the Stow web app. Upon deactivation of an account, all personal data associated with the account is immediately and permanently deleted from our systems.
• Data Management: Users have the ability to decide which data is retained or deleted. Deactivation and complete deletion of data can be performed directly via the Control Panel.
GDPR Compliance
Stow adheres to all GDPR principles to ensure the protection and proper handling of personal data:
• Lawful Basis for Processing: We process personal data based on legitimate interests, user consent, or other lawful bases as required by GDPR.
• Data Minimisation: We collect and retain only the personal data necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
• Right to Access and Rectification: Users can access and request corrections to their personal data through the Control Panel.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data, which is promptly actioned through our Control Panel or upon account deactivation.
• Data Security: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.
Immediate Data Deletion Upon Account Deactivation
When a user deactivates their account, Stow ensures that all associated personal data is immediately deleted from our active databases and backups, fully complying with GDPR’s right to erasure.
